Little Boy Memory Wall Hanging

Some dear friends of ours lost their 16-month-old son Braxten several weeks ago. My mom wanted to do something for the family, so she asked for some of his clothes to make a memory quilt out of. She came up with this wall hanging:

She made it after the old-fashioned "Sun Bonnet Sam" style. All of the hats and pants were made out of a pair of Braxten's jeans. Each of the shirts came from Braxten's shirts. The little black shoes were made to look like Braxten's Nike shoes. The dog, fish, train, and heart were inspired by stories from his childhood. Isn't this such a sweet tribute to a sweet little boy?

I think I need one made out of my son's baby clothes, too!
