I have loved Kate Spain's Terrain line from the moment it hit quilt shop shelves. The colors are vibrant and the prints are fun and modern. I've never had an excuse to buy it, though, until my mom found it at a local quilt shop for $3/yard. I'm not sure why it was marked down so much, but I didn't need any convincing...

So, now I have a lovely collection of fat quarters in 15 different prints. I'm not sure what it will become but I'm going to love every minute of sewing on it!

Herringbone Table Runner

Mom found an easy herringbone quilt tutorial and decided to use it to make this cute table runner. I love how well the browns, grays, and creams blend together and I also love this a-little-different-than-chevron look. I think it looks fabulous! She did all the hard work...I just quilted it.

Jungle Safari Baby Boy Quilt

How is it possible that quilt fabric keeps getting cuter and cuter? I picked up this jungle print back in February at the quilt retreat and I love it. The black and cream oversized polka dot is also making me very happy.

And, look! Matching burpies! They're both in the shop.

Dress Up Days

Have I mentioned before that I love Riley Blake fabrics? Okay, I know I have, but seriously they are the best. I am working on a pincushion tutorial for their blog and the wonderful ladies of Riley Blake sent me about 2 yards more than I asked for. They know the way to a quilter's heart! Look at this adorable line by Doohikey Designs called "Dress Up Days."

I love this cute purple print with the little girls and clotheslines.

It's supposed to hit quilt stores in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes open!

Ducky Baby Quilt: Version 2

After finishing Anna's quilt, my mom made a few more applique duck blocks. We decided to put them together with the leftover fabric and create this retro-looking baby quilt. I love the funky avocado green, marigold, and orange together. Reminds me of the crib my older siblings used in the 70's!

Ducky Baby Quilt

Look at this adorable quilt my mom just finished! She made it for my sister Anna (who is not pregnant...yet), so she chose gender-neutral fabrics. The ducks are raw-edge appliqued with machine button-hole stitching. Because this is the first quilt she's made for Anna, she wanted it to be extra special and spent hours hand quilting it.

Nice job, Mom! I love it!

We also did a pink and brown version, without the ducks, here.
