Winter Quilt Retreat 2011

I never posted about Winter Quilt Retreat in February. It was four wonderful days in beautiful Bryce Canyon with Lois. 

Oh, and no husbands, no children, no cooking, no dishes, no laundry, and no errands.

It was amazing to be around so many talented women, many of whom have been quilting longer than I've been alive. I should have felt intimidated, but they were all too encouraging, kind, and willing to teach me that I felt like I really belonged there.

Every day our bed would get covered in the day's project. We had so much fun arranging and re-arranging our fabrics and blocks:

I took two classes and my Mom-in-law took four. I'll try to be good about posting pictures as we finish--or start!--the projects.
